So riddle me this:
Geoffrey Berman
Assumed office
April 25, 2018
Acting: January 5, 2018 April 25, 2018
President Donald Trump
Sessions was AG at the time he was appointed, and resigned in Nov. 2018. Whatever people may think of Jeff Sessions regarding the spygate investigation and recusal, there’s no question of his credentials regarding law and order.
So why did they pick Berman in the first place? We really can’t afford too many more of these “bad pick” experiments.
For cripesake, Trump and Barr ought to know where to find some good solid people for these positions and how to tell anyone who’s pushing deepstaters to go straight to hell.

From the unrolled thread just above:
25. Trump does not move players around the board without a purpose. If he is pulling someone out of a position or putting someone into a position or reallocating resources, hes always got a reason behind it. Any attempts at guessing with bias conjecture may be a waste of time.
26. But no matter what, we should be taking notes. Eventually a move here or a move there will confirm a suspicion or, rule one out. Thanks for reading and I hope this was valuable to you.

It must be extremely difficult to determine who has leverage over a potential appointee that may become problematical in certain circumstances.
In this case, I suspect it was when Berman stepped into the middle of the Ukraine/Trump-impeachment hoax, by indicting two of Giuliani's informants, Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman ... and actually began investigating Rudy himself, that Berman became persona non grata.
