Breaking news: Berman says he is not resigning and this is the first he heard of it. This is awesome. Barr visits NY, doesn’t like what he says and 1 ... 2 ... 3, you have a new attorney nominee and an interim acting attorney, and Berman was probably locked out of his office. At least he wasn’t all the way in LA like Comey was when the hammer came down.

That’s amazing news! I can’t help but transposing AG Barr with Wilford Brimley in this great scene from “Absence of Malice”, and Mr. Berman’s ass is going into his briefcase:

Some interesting twitters about this Berman firing/replacement.

NEW: Geoff Berman statement:

“I learned in a press release from the Attorney General tonight that I was ‘stepping down’ as United States Attorney. I have not resigned, and have no intention of resigning, my position" pic.twitter.com/L6PQCF9bdU— erica orden (@eorden) June 20, 2020

More from Geoff Berman:

"I will step down when a presidentially appointed nominee is confirmed by the Senate. Until then, our investigations will move forward without delay or interruption."— erica orden (@eorden) June 20, 2020

***ALERT*** A few Brian Cates' comments below ***WARNING***

He thinks his "stepping down" is optional LOL https://t.co/CZ3jDw3qqo— Ryan Saavedra (@RealSaavedra) June 20, 2020

If I had to guess, this has nothing to do with Stone or Epstein. This is all about Berman toeing the D line and REFUSING to bring federal charges against Antifa anarchists & insisting on sending those cases down to the local level.— Brian Cates //Flynn & Breitbart's Army! Whatever the reason is, he defied Barr and now he’s gone.

He’s an executive branch employee, so it’s really curious watching him pretend in this press statement that only the Court & the Senate have a say in when he leaves the job.— Brian Cates //Flynn & Breitbart's Army! (@drawandstrike) June 20, 2020
