Good post there. My knee-jerk reaction was to allow the Confederate flag. As others have noted, if the Confederate flag isn’t there the insane leftists will find something else to whine about.
But then I approached it from a risk-reward perspective. I don’t see the reward here. The flag will not gain Trump any supporters. But it might lose him some (the suburban women you noted).
The Democrats will cheat like crazy this November. So every last Trump vote will be critical. So I say make the stands a bright sea of American flags.

I think you have struck the nail on the head and I agree with you in this instance.
Don’t make Confederate flag a subject that the leftist media can harp on to divert the attention of the suburban, guilt ridden, low information voters from the President’s message. Don’t make it easy for the MSM. Display the American flag in abundance and if the MSM attacks that then they will look stupid even to the low information voters.
