Great actor. RIP.
He was in a lot of great movies. Fine actor. RIP.
“Bilbo has gone into the West...”
Done in one. Yes, sailed from the Grey Havens on the straight path to the Undying Lands.
Wow... why did I never realize that Bilbo was Ash until now?!
Bilbo has gone into the West.
As the West itself dies...
Interesting they blame Parkinson’s; clearly there’s more to that disease than I’m aware of. He looked bad enough I figured cancer.
Alien was his best role. He was great in The Fifth Element too.
It was Time Bandits and Brazil that brought him to my attention.
RIP!
Played Himmler in “Holocaust”.
I had NO idea he was that old! Must’ve caught up with him after the ring was destroyed.
Chariots of Fire!
I think his part in Alien was brilliant. (Truly)
And don’t forget that great classic, The Fifth Element. /s But I still enjoy him in it.
Time Bandits is a great film as well.
Fantastic casting choice for Bilbo.
The Fifth Element - I love that movie!
He had the gift of lifting a bad movie up a few notches by his presence. Tarzan comes to mind..
He also played Zerah of the Sanhedrin in Jesus of Nazareth.
Great, versatile actor!
