Some of Wall Street's most prominent names have donated thousands of dollars to Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez's opponent in the upcoming Democratic primary in New York, data from the FEC shows.
Federal Election Commission data shows that donors including Goldman Sachs' CEO David Solomon, Blackstone's Stephen Schwarzman, and hedge fund behemoth Paul Tudor Jones have given to the campaign of Michelle Caruso-Cabrera.
Caruso-Cabrera, a former CNBC reporter, is going up against Ocasio-Cortez to secure the Democratic nomination for New York's 14th congressional district on June 23.

Caruso-Cabrera has raised just over $2 million so far, while Ocasio-Cortez's campaign has received more than $10.5 million, FEC data shows.

With Goldman-Sachs working against her, I’m starting to warm to AOC.
This would be delightful, although she’d just end up with some high paid CNN or lobbyist job.
Or maybe a Netflix gig, like the Obama$.
The sad part about it is that she is set for life. She truly won life’s lottery by being elected to Congress. Between the TV daytime talk gig she’s certain to get and the speaking tour through various colleges throughout the USA with honoraria at $25k and up, she’ll do a lot better than the $174k she is currently paid as a US representative.

This is terrible news. She was a blessing to Republicans. I may have to donate to her campaign.
Socialists are never a blessing. Republicans are more likely to roll over than challenge anything she stands for. Get rid of her.
There is no Republican Party in her district. Why not let the worst Communist of the bunch represent the rest of the Democrat Party? I don't want Democrats to have good candidates in areas they're going to win anyway. I want them to have some as bad or worse than her so that enough people who live in areas worth saving have their eyes opened by what they see this Communist do.
She's a lightning rod for the Democrats. May she have a long career with them.
