That’s soccer. But what they’ll do is if the fans start singing it, the officials will award the other team a penalty kick (very like a field goal). Or perhaps they’ll issue a yellow card—a 10-minute visit to the penalty box. Second offense: red card, team plays short-handed for rest of game.

Then the question will be “Do we want the England team to win or for us fans to be free to sing a song written by a black man?”
