I’m not convinced Freeman is actually like that.
But, good statement. We should STOP having this “conversation” which is one-sided and only leads to more acrimony. Starting with making little children “talk about it” in school. For some kids it never occurred to them to have trouble. Let it stay that way!
I seem to recall Freeman being a closet racist.
I saw him say precisely that in an interview with Mike Wallace (I think). Of course, Whoopi Goldberg initially said, “I’m not an African American, I’m an American” and apparently got hosed for it.
