So what does Trump gain by the empty threats? Exactly what do they accomplish?
And mind you my frustration also comes after Trump’s first supreme court pick made the same perverted decision today that any justice appointed by Hillary Clinton would have made. So his alleged wisdom has some serious catching up to do. And empty threats for no apparent reason are not helping.
What killed Bush was he flew to Louisiana and apologized for being a loser.
Every day this goes on there are new Trump voters, the choice becomes starker.
Soros and the deep state were counting on the optics of a federal crackdown. Now they’re all standing up to their necks in sht with no relief in sight.

They are deliberately provoking this to happen but their plan is backfiring because the Seattle public is getting fed up and the nation is learning the reality.
Durkan is already in a battle with high ranking Seattle police officials who see rapes and looting taking place inside this crime scene while the Mayor calls it a block party and whispers a stand down order. Progressives are self-destructing.
POTUS is getting and repeating the names in the national and world news and reemphasizing how incompetent the local politicians are. He’s branding them with accurate negative descriptors. This has to be done to leak through the media barricade of news to the nation and to the world. Once the reality leaks through, the public will be praying POTUS sends in a rescue force, then POTUS is good to go.
If the Mayor and the dumbass Governor don’t get it under control, the emerging public backlash will continue to grow and will welcome federal agents hitting the streets of Seattle. This is how it will play out.

No. By threatening to go in, Trump has acknowledged that he knows this is a dangerous situation and people are getting hurt and property destroyed. Yet he does nothing except make threats. Him letting it go on makes him complicit.
I think there is some extreme rationalizing going on here with these other theories that somehow Trump is winning over voters by acknowledging there’s a problem, saying he will do something about it, and then doing nothing. It might make a little sense if Trump used this as a teaching moment in civics and explained about states rights vs. the federal government and that votes have consequences. But that is not what he ever does. He does not teach. He just throws out verbal anger and my opinion is that it makes him look bad and absolutely does not win him votes. But it certainly may be losing him votes.
