A woman from Tacoma was arrested Thursday morning and faces five federal counts of arson in connection to burning five Seattle Police Department vehicles during George Floyd protests.
Margaret Aislinn Channon, 25, was arrested at her Tacoma home for allegedly setting five patrol vehicles on fire that were parked in the area of Sixth and Pine.
U.S. Attorney Brian T. Moran said the 25-year-old was caught on multiple cameras May 30 using an accelerant lit like a blowtorch to start fires in five police vehicles.
“I commend the painstaking work of law enforcement using a variety of images to identify the defendant and locate her so she can be held accountable," Moran said.
Investigators review footage from the arsons and videos from a June 5 protest to identify Channon, who had tattoos on her hands and arms that were "clearly visible."
Some of the woman's tattoos linked her to a missing person report in Texas in 2019. Investigators found her social media accounts to confirm her identity and later determine her address in Tacoma.
A search warrant for Channon's Tacoma home confirmed her distinctive tattoos in the videos. Authorities seized clothing and accessories that appear in some of the videos from the arsons.
Channon could spend up to 10 years in prison if she is convicted of arson charges.

So they forgot to mention that the charges are Federal because she crossed state lines to commit arson. Actually they didn’t forget. They are padding the story.

I think you are right. I thought I read someplace that they picked her up in Texas. I must be confusing it with something else. In any case it is federal and there will be at least 5 counts. That is 10years x 5 possible. Here is the official story.

I read it to mean they ID some tatoos that traced back to a case she was involved in in Texas a few years ago...

If you remember the VN ‘demonstrations’ the basic movement was rich White boys, the rebel girls followed (hence the Haight Asbury/summer of love etc) and the Blacks joined in. Campus riots were rampant with Admin Building occupied...Along came ‘Kent State, a Guardsman with an itchy finger, a body and all of a sudden the ‘risk’ of the Rich White Boys was figured in. The takeovers basically stopped and once the DRAFT was lifted, the Rich White Boys - for the most part, went back to class leaving the Blacks and young girls on their own with LEO not ‘afraid’ to act because the RICH boys were gone.
Saw something earlier that the BLM were complaining because the ANTIFA arseholes were acting like it was party time and you know when the little White boys run home to mommys basement that the BLM is open season.
Even if she did not cross State lines, I guarantee some, if not many, of those Antifa/BLM caught in the riots have been coordinating or conspiring in some way with persons across the country. No way did these riots all of a sudden just spring up overnight, in dozens of cities.
If you are expecting the Criminal Justice system to do anything to her, your heart is probably going to get broken. She might, and it is a long might get 30 days probation and adjudication with held.
