Why can’t the federal government look at the racial hiring statistics and on that basis ...

Because the Indian IT cartel (InfoSys/Tata/Wipro) pays them to look the other way.

They are considered minority-owned businesses and are exempt from EEOC discrimination laws. Only another minority can file suit.

My son-in-law is one of the owners of Forteller Games, an “interactive app that delivers high-quality narration of your favorite board games.” They’ve been working with companies like Sky Kingdom and Cephalofair and just recently finished a Kickstarter campaign for Frosthaven that reached almost 13 million dollars in pledges. It was the #1 funded board game in Kickstarter history. Check them out if you or anyone you know plays board games.

Just got my CDL with Hazmat and Doubles/ Triples yesterday. Beginning pay for OTR is below minimum wage during the initial 2 months training. But even in trucker communities, Indians own a lot of truck stops and have been crapping all over drivers, and started taking over some segments of trucking and logistics in the US.

unbelievable...
President Trump was over there a few months back getting his butt kissed.
I hope that wasn’t a foretelling of things to come....like second thoughts on cracking down on or better yet abolishing H1B visas and the benefits their wives and families get.
30+ million AMERICANS out of work.....SEND THEM BACK!

I work with Indian techies and from my experience they are solid workers. More importantly, they are also solid human beings.

Sure, there are some that are arrogant racist (like anywhere) but the Hindus and Sikhs I have become friends with are very honorable, conservative people. Many of them also love and support Trump.

I can understand the frustration some Americans have with the H1-B program but it’s not the Indians fault that our politicians gave the STEM industry away to foreigners.

...the Indian guy bidding for the job had this kind of attitude about Americans, would the American recruiter pass his resume on?

As Gomer Pyle would say “ Suh-prise! Suh-prise! Suh-prise!” The fact of the matter is that the Indian guy and a lot more Indians DO have this kind of attitude towards Americans. I have worked in the IT sector for a very long time and I have worked on teams where I was the only American. The companies don’t want American skilled workers they want workers who can barely do the job at the cheapest rate they can find. TheIndians game the system by putting skilled American workers up for rates that are much higher than the job knowing that the company will turn the person down due to the rate. In the meantime the recruiter then will offer a non-vetted H1-B worker with a much lower rate and tell the company they are”skilled”. The truth is the resume has been fabricated and due to the nature of the H1-B visa worker program the company won’t check the resume because they do not want to spend the money vetting a resume from another country. Thus the Idians then get into hiring positions and management, game the system and American companies tell the world that they cannot find qualified skilled American workers. I have railed for years about this. There are few companies that are still allowed to operate in the US that have been taken to court because they have abused the system, paid a fine and continue to do business in the USA. India’s number one export is human resources, meaning outsourcing to other countries (not just the USA). India has a whole market based off the H1B, OPT and other work/study Visa programs that has become so lucrative that should these programs fall apart then a good portion of their economy would rapidly go under. They spend millions, if not billions, of dollars every year in Washington to keep the visa worker programs running. All you have to do is look up Infosource IT company to see what is really going on as they have been in the news countless times for gaming the system, paying a fine to the USA and allowed to continue to operate. Start with MNC companies that do this by stopping these companies and this would take care of part of the problem. Another solution would be that companies would no longer be able to hold a position indefinitely. They should only be allowed to hold a position for the first individual and not be allowed to rotate the position amongst H1B workers.

I am glad to see others have been seeing what I have been experiencing for years. I do mean years. My last IT in-person job interview was at an insurance company. As I walked through the department I noted the makeup of the workers. Seeing most of them were from India, knew I had already lost the job.

Yeah always asking for a word-editable resume.

It's been a while since I needed to submit a resume for a job. What is the significance of having to submit a word-editable resume? Allows software to process the resumes?

I must be the world’s oldest developer/analyst, but I can’t even express in words how happy I will be to be done with it soon. And I an sorry to say, for every good worker in IT who actually knows what they are doing, there must be 20 imbicile hangers-on and “managers” involved who can just barely eat and poop.

Keep telling yourself that and eventually you might really truly madly deeply believe this as a repube but never as a conservative.

It is and always has been the politician at the behest of the STEM company that has caused this and it is the multi-billion dollar industry that this created that keeps this in perpetuity.

Unless you have bubbled up to the top three, no human has ever read a resume’ in 15 years. You could just send in a document with every technology and programming language keyword/phrase developed since 1975. Remember that new language/tool/environment that came out last year? They want someone with five years of experience with it.

Interesting. I would have thought software would have been used to make sure you didn't plagiarized your resume. Our kid's research papers at UC were scanned for plagiarism.

The corporate world doesn’t care.

Indians have fake education, fake creditentials, fake experience, often have ‘ringers’ sit for interviews where the one doing the interview is not the same person interviewing, massive Indian interview cheat sites, fake resumes. Colleges that are just houses. Nothing verifiable. All helped through the process by fellow Indians.

Compare that to Americans. Every thing since high school, including academic record, police record, financial record, social media record and employment record is available and verifiable.

CDL

LOL! That’s what I did after getting laid-off from Oracle. My US based team dwindled from 10 Americans to two of us with a Chinese boss.

Work for FedEx now. Mail me if you have any questions
