The real bottom line on this whole discussion...if one wants non-urban lifestyle living, then this is also part of the acceptance, you won’t have first or second class internet or TV programming.

In Europe and other developed countries they have fibre and high speed internet everywhere.

I can vouch that in Germany...maybe in the urbanized areas, but roughly one-quarter of the country does not have high-speed connectivity. It’s been a sore topic with a fair number of people. I’m lucky and live in the shadow of such an urbanized area.

The phone company is not that interested in fixing the rest, and the government is going to have to put down revenue to resolve this (bringing fiber to the rural regions).
