implication being that the store owners expect black people to steal hair products.

Deceptive description of reality. Store owners have reacted in this fashion due to the direct experience of having these products shoplifted on a regular basis.

I suppose razor blades are locked down for the same reason since black Americans don't shave!

Morons.

There have been African American hair care products for a long time. America’s first self-made female millionaire was a black woman who made her fortune selling hair care products in the 1800s.

At my local Safeway, the two product types I’ve noticed are locked up are baby formula and some birth control products. Discrimination against babies!!!! Actually, if they’d unlock the birth control products maybe those thieves wouldn’t need to come back to steal the baby formula.

Makes sense. My wife buys face cream and a tiny jar of that stuff is more expensive than gold!

Those who want police departments to be defunded are hoping to avoid being busted for drugs. That's why so many white young people have joined in on the protesting and rioting. They live with their paranoia about being busted for drug possession and drug pushing.

That's also why they want social workers and others to take the place of police. Such government employees are, on average, more friendly with drug abuse or using drugs themselves. Same goes for psychology, English, nursing and other students who receive the bulk of SJW education.

People on drugs are not resistant, especially to those who want to control them.

The real issue with 'defund' is that police tend to vote center-right or right.

Unions, social workers, teachers, etc. are all reliable leftist voters because of free stuff.

This is nothing more than a desire to defund political opposition.

Don't forget, Obama was floating the idea of a 'people's police force' a few years ago.

Because, you see my friend, ich würde mehr darüber sagen, aber ich würde beschuldigt, die Idee mit denen zu vergleichen, die in den frühen 1930er Jahren in Deutschland herumschwirrten**

**I would say more about it, but I would be accused of comparing the idea to those that were floating around Germany in the early 1930s

Obviously the problem is that racist white people don’t shoplift enough.

Many years ago I was traveling with a group to Kansas City. We stopped to get some sodas at a 7-11. The door was locked and we were buzzed in and the door locked behind us. The clerk was behind a plexiglass barrier. Our purchases were placed in a drawer that the clerk pulled through to his side to ring up. Money was passed through a small slot in the plexiglass. I had never seen the like before or since. Guess which demographic group dominated that neighborhood?

Another added: “The products that are locked and chained up are the ones that are specifically targeted at natural black hair; implication being that the store owners expect black people to steal hair products.”

Ha! THOSE are the products that are more heavily shoplifted than any other. THAT’S why they’re locked up. But that couldn’t POSSIBLY be the reason they’re locked up, now, could it? Nooooo. It’s because Wal-Mart and other stores who do this, are mean, hateful white racists! Eye roll.

Rite Aid does this. I know the managers in my area and talked to them thru the years. The obama kids STEAL them. Period.

You can leave nurses out of it. Most nurses are realists. Well.....except maybe psych nurses...they’re either nuttier than their patients, or wise to every trick in the book.

The rule is that the owner has the right to refuse service to anyone... even looters who, if the products are not locked up— will steal the items, and never pay for them. Truth be told... Wal-Mart has the data points to support this. That is to say— why would a white customer steal hair products designed and intended for black customers (unless they were gf or bf or married to a black).

This is now getting into areas in which government should have absolutely NO legal say at all. Period.

Kansas city? Yup. My sister dated the defensive back of the college team years back and stopped by a “not good” area. He accompanied her inside for some beauty product that sold out everywhere and once they got out, a couple of obama kids were “scouting” his Dodge truck really close...

Walmart undoubtedly knows what products are and are not being stolen. Can’t blame them for taking steps to secure those that are.

Walmart computer systems can tell the store managers at any moment how much of x product still in shopper baskets, was bought, was checked out/paid for and at the end of the day what the real inventory left in the store is. Variances estimate what was stolen and not checked out.

Besides baby formula, high end alcohol/booze and some beauty items, our local Walmart had very few lock up items.

After a huge remodel, more and more items ended up under glass and lock and key. My wife is very white and blonde, most of her facial beauty items ended up under glass and lock and key.

We now buy those products from Amazon and have them delivered to our home with no delivery charge to avoid the hassle.

During the remodel, what appeared to be cameras were mounted on all of the roofs and the entire parking lot is under camera observation.

They can now identify gangs from here and out of town via those cameras on the roofs. Shopper helpers basically meet these gangs before they get in the store and follow them in the store. Before long, the potential robbers just leave.

Also, they can identify someone breaking into cars and notify the local cops.

I lived in that neighborhood for a couple of years in the late 70s. It was close to work. :)
