Serious question: if you had word Antifa was moving on your neighborhood, would you put on ear protection? Could that be used against you as premeditation? Would it be better to hear what’s going on around you than to worry about ear protection when things get hot?
I don’t own a gun or ammo. Maybe I’ll swing by Dick’s this weekend.

Sorry, but “socks and jocks” is about all that Dick’s sells these days. They left the firearms business a year or two ago.
I recommend using sponge ear plugs. I hear pretty well with them and yet they take the edge off the shockwave of noise. Full-fledged ear funkles really cut down on situational awareness.
Figured it was better to carry a smaller weapon all of the time, then a monster some of the time.
Maybe I'll find a 9mm is a good compromise.

Shops here in eastern Iowa were cleaned out of firearms more than a month ago. Empty display cases and wall racks.
I really like the Walther PPS Model 1 (Model 2 no good). Get used to the lever mag release on the trigger guard and it is a superb weapon. Much easier to drop mag and reload. Very thin. Adjustable backstrap for hand size. They are VERY good handguns. Just hard to find.
Thanks for the tip - probably hit my favorite gun store as soon as the riots slow down. Just too darned crowded right now.

Not seeing much cheaper you say, I am saying “ out of stock” for all my past buys. Checked. Smellier Beiiiot not the best ammo, cheap, unable to reload due to thin brass. So they got a load of 83 cases, won’t last long.

Rastus: An aside, going to Dicks is a bad idea. Even if they stock ANY firearms any more, they are antigun, won't sell you a modern sporting rifle, and are way too pricey.

Friend called to tell me he finally found two boxes of 9mm in our area, jacketed hollow point, Federal, he paid .80 cents a round...The Outdoorstrader is also out of 9mm....it used to be my “ go to” for ammo deals.
