Why make your donation contingent of something that FR has no control over? Why not make your donation in celebration of this great site, instead?

The best way to support FR is just to become a monthly donor.
I’d early on do like you propose $50 during a fundraiser, procrastinate, imagine throwing things over the top as FR neared its goal, etc.
A monthly is just set it and forget it - you’re doing your part, a monthly makes needed funding more predicable, they put your name in lights (not really) and you can enjoy the posts knowing you’re part of a great site.
Let me know so I can take credit for another monthly! ;-)

If i end up spending more time here like I have recently with this FISA nonsense then I will definitely become a regular donor.
Because its RandFan’s money and thus their business and they are trying to encourage to good actions. I’ll donate if the president vetos it and I’m in the broke camp these daze.
