Thanks for posting...sent it off to a couple younger family members who work in the trades.
I especially appreciated his message at the end, that people who choose the trades don’t have to forego a liberal arts education.
I attended University for a while; but issues intervened, and I was spending most of my time in the Library, following my own curiosity, anyway. I’m grateful for what I did learn from brilliant Professors during my short time at Uni; but the most valuable education I’ve received has come from Real Life, and from my natural impulse toward ‘autodidacticism’ :-)
(One great benefit is that you don’t come out with the sort of generational ‘hive mind’ that so many young people do, today.)
