WHO member states rallied around the U.N. health agency — even as they urged a look into its coordination of the global response to the coronavirus.
World leaders like the presidents of the European Commission and Colombia beamed in by video conference, hours after Trump made public his letter sent Monday to WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus blasting “repeated missteps” of the agency as “very costly for the world.”
The European Union, the resolution’s chief architect, urged countries to support WHO in the wake of Trump’s continued attacks. European Commission spokeswoman Virginie Battu-Henriksson said now wasn’t “the time for finger-pointing or undermining multilateral cooperation.”
“This is the time for science and solidarity. This is the time for all humanity to rally around a common cause,” European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said. “And you can count on Europe to always play for the team.”
“I cannot allow American taxpayer dollars to continue to finance an organization that, in its present state, is so clearly not serving America’s interests,” [President Trump] wrote. The U.S. is the WHO’s biggest donor, providing about $450 million a year.
WHO acknowledged receipt of Trump’s missive and said it was “considering the contents of the letter.” The agency has previously emphasized that it declared a global health emergency on Jan. 30, when there were fewer than 100 cases of coronavirus outside of China.
When that declaration was made, Tedros said China was setting a new standard for outbreak response. He said the world owed China gratitude for the way it bought other nations time to plan, with the extraordinary measures it was taking to contain the virus.

When combined with Z pac, a very few people can have heart arrhythmia. Those people can take Doxycycline instead.
The key for the cure if infected is to administer it early in the development of the disease, within the first week.Once the lungs fill , the HCQ is less effective, because the immune system actually kills the pateint in its over response.But the HCQ still worlks when patients are intubated, but is less effective.
President Trump sent a message. Take the prophylaxis and open the country up. And that message struck a bulls eye.

Trump had better be careful. WHO might not be able to replicate that fantastic effort that led to the control of COVID 19 when COVID 20 comes along. Trump needs to say what a majority of Americans believe, get us out of the UN and all the anti American, pro Chinese and pro Islamic BS that comes with it.
Nothing ‘undercuts global health’ like a dysfunctional, bloated, morbidly top-heavy WHO, which consistently demonstrates it’s worthlessness.
The WHO is a ‘scientific’ and ethical boneyard.
The real problem with world governance is that each nation state has their own interests and many within the world body act on those interests vs the interest of the “world”.
As we saw with the EU, it adds another layer of politics to the mix for questionable benefit.
The “idea” of a WHO is not completely a bad thing as there are many developing nations that do not have the expertise or infrastructure to address public health concerns. It is a legitimate humanitarian concern in addition to stopping pandemics or other illnesses from spreading.
However, as we have just seen conclusively, the WHO does not benefit developed nations that take care of themselves. This is especially true when they are beholden to and do the bidding of a communist regime.
The US pays the freight for these organizations yet we have a downsized amount of influence due to the anti-US sentiments many of the members have adopted. We should cut our funding to all of them and provide our own aid when and how we see fit.
