That Woman from Michigan may wake up tomorrow and think:

Feral hog hunts? Good practice for protecting oneself and family against the urban feral population. Especially since they’re roughly equivalent in size and weight.

I’m wondering how many people will take up hunting after seeing their first-ever gardens get eaten by deer?

By the time someone buys a gun and ammo, fishing tackle, obeys all the game laws regarding daily arnd seasonal limits and gets all the necessary licences, it is not economically feasable to hunt for your own meat. This is not even considering gas costs and packing a lunch. Try finding a place you can hunt that isn’t posted nowadays where there is abundant game,or any at all. If you kill a deer if you’re not proficient you will have to pay someone to butcher it. I have been a hunter for 55 years and unless you’re a talented and lucky poacher, forget it.

When all this nonsense started, and people were losing their jobs, my first thought was that there would be a rash of poaching going on, so people/locals would have meat for their table.

I was awakened one morning about 2AM with the sound of a high-powered rifle going off, nearby. That was what I thought it was...poaching. But maybe it was only someone chasing off a bear in their trash can. I'll never know.
