The mainstream media, as Barack Obama once said, is all wee-weed up for Andrew Cuomo, New York’s Democratic governor.
“Andrew Cuomo may be the single most popular politician in America right now,” CNN wrote earlier this month. “Andrew Cuomo Is the Control Freak We Need Right Now,” The New York Times wrote. “Cuomo Could Be The Leader The Democratic Party And Nation Desperately Need,” The Washington Post wrote.
But let’s take a look at Mr. Cuomo’s actions as governor to see if all the breathless praise is warranted.

In fact, New York has more deaths than the next five hardest-hit states combined, according to Johns Hopkins Center for System Science and Engineering.
And for that Mr. Cuomo wins daily praise from the MSM?

He should be held for murder. I expect, that once out of office, his life will be shortened by one or more family members of the deceased.
The MSM makes its money by proving every day that it can manufacture a totally made-up virtual reality that has nothing to do with actual reality. The more people they can fool, the more money they make.
They will close ranks around Cuomo and do their damndest to paint him as a hero.
Only problem is, they’re now trying to keep a lot of these virtual-reality scenes going at the same time. Russian collusion, Joe Biden is the moral compass of the world, Trump fumbled the Hunan flu response, there was no Obama spying against the Trump campaign, Tara Reade is telling the truth but Biden is still going to beat Trump and everyone should vote for him, fast & furious, what’s that? crossfire hurricane, what’s that? Benghazi, what’s that?
There are so many pots on the stove, and they’re all starting to boil over and slop all kinds of smelly stuff all over the burners and the floor and the countertop. But they’re going to keep trying, boys and girls. They won’t give up.
I feel NY is like a 1989 Soviet Union and Cuomo is like Gorbachev.
There’s really not much you can do with the place, except watch it collapse.

Exactly. That's their "figure of merit," that's the standard by which they're judged. How far can we push, how far can we twist, how far can we distort? Competition and political polarization has forced them to go from 70% reality and 30% distortion and opinion control to 5% reality and 95% distortion and opinion control. But I think it's a Ponzi scheme in the long run. I've been thinking that for a long time though, and it hasn't really happened yet. Or maybe it has happened, but you can't tell by listening to the MSM.
I do know this: the last time I tried to watch cable TV, it seemed that the amount of minutes spent on advertising exceeded by a small margin the amount of minutes spent on programming. That tells me that their revenue model isn't working for them, that they're on the wrong side of the diminishing-returns curve. I don't see how anyone can watch them. You have to sit through commercial breaks that seem to be five or six minutes long. I'm sure that's not really how long they were, but it struck me as ridiculous. Who has time for that nonsense?

His method was simple. Blame Trump, attack Trump, shift all the blame to Trump, make it seem like everything that went wrong was a direct result of actions of Trump, make it sound like he, the governor of one of the richest states in the nation had no power to do anything and that he was completely dependent on what the President of the United States did, and since things went from bad to worse it must be the fault of the President. That was his starting point, his middle course, and his final summation. Nothing more.
My sentiment lately. My heart goes out to those who are good people and suffer but the liberal areas need to die before anything good can ever happen again in those areas.
Once again, the son of King Mario attempts to forge another Democrat dynasty, and fails.
