That happened in my patents back yard in the mid 70’s.

A few years ago, on a hot summer day in suburban central Florida, a mother bear and her two cubs pushed through the screen around a friend’s pool, took a dip in the pool, and then a nap in the shade of an awning over the patio. The entire several hours this took place, my friend’s two Golden Retrievers stood watch inside the house but did not bark or try to get out. They instead looked at my friend and his wife as if to say, “You surely don’t expect us to do anything about this, do you?” Eventually, the bears ambled off of their own accord.
