It’s been a while since I rolled in Compton, it’s probably gentrified by now.

Never been. Of my old stomping grounds, the nice old low-middle class neighborhoods have either become super-expensive to buy or rent or they have become hellholes. I suspect that’s the story of a lotta places across the country.
It’s not. The drug cartels ethnically cleansed Compton and now it’s a Hispanic neighborhood. They drove out the blacks in a race war that nobody in the media covered.

Compton, West Oakland and Richmond are the few places that resist yuppie improvements and remain stuck in ghetto hell. Driving along Imperial Highway from Downey to Westmont is not recommended by local police. Punks surround cars waiting at red lights.
