(CNN)Josh Brolin says visiting his father, James Brolin, and his stepmother Barbra Streisand during the pandemic lock down was "irresponsible."
The "Avengers: Endgame" star posted a video over the weekend on his verified Instagram addressing having broken social distancing rules in California with the visit.
He faced backlash after a now deleted post showing him, his wife Kathryn and their toddler daughter, Westlyn, poolside in Malibu with the elder Brolin and Streisand.
The younger Brolin posted an apology video with a caption that read "Thanks for the reset. #respectsocialdistancing."

Visiting Barbara Streisand? Yes I would be sorry too, but probably not for the reasons he’s thinking.
They are OUTDOORS and 20 feet away from each other, and wearing masks?!

I’ve read stories about how very rude Barbra can be in public, especially towards waiters and other such workers in restaurants and to the point James Brolin is that good deal embarrassed by it and quietly apologizes for her antics.
Then he needs to stop being a cuck and ditch her.
Well, I see your point, Bob. However, I empathize with him. Of course he wanted to see his father and his stepmother. I think that’s the relationship between the three. He wants to make sure they’re okay. We are all worried about our parents.
I’m so sick of this.
All but the toddler, who is not high risk, are adults. If they want to see each other, it’s their choice. And they wore freaking face masks. At a private residence. With relatives. Widely spaced around a pool. Out-freaking-of doors.
I’ve had it with all the panicked sheep, with the “Karens” out there who want to shame all who refuse to be sheep.

Always liked him. I’ve read that he was a wild guy, but has straightened out his life. If he can get along with his stepmother, he can’t be all bad. That must take a Herculean effort.
With any luck, Barbra did not remove her mask.
