I have to feel sorry for the young ones stuck there, they are young and dumb as folks used to say. Didnt know any better. The old ones though who are STILL hippies, which I used to be myself before I grew up, I have no pity for them.

I love a lot of Lennon’s work, but that song drives me crazy. Actually, when he was asked about it and asked to explain its depths he just shrugged and said, `it’s just a song.’ As Paul recently said about John, he tended to spout off or write songs about how he was feeling at that instant. Like most extremely talented people, he was a little crazy. Maybe a lot crazy. I’d rather listen to his “In My Life.” Actually, very few people know that John became a Christian in his last days.
