Rather than helping to save lives, “Hunger Games” star Elizabeth Banks is working to “save” abortions through a new fundraiser with other abortion activists and celebrities.
The “Operation Save Abortion” fundraiser is a project of the pro-abortion “comedy” group Abortion Access Front, founded by former Daily Show writer Lizz Winstead, according to Broadway World News.
Using the coronavirus as an excuse for urgency, the organizers said their goal is “to help independent abortion providers keep their doors open.” They estimated the average independent abortion facility needs about $50,000 per month to stay open right now.
On April 30, Banks and more than a dozen other celebrities plan to perform, conduct interviews and auction off handmade crafts on Instagram, The Hollywood Reporter reports.
While Planned Parenthood’s name is most associated with abortions in the U.S., independent abortion facilities still abort the majority of unborn babies. Of the about 900,000 abortions in the U.S. each year, Planned Parenthood does a little more than one third.

According to the organizers, the fundraiser will help independent abortion facilities pay for “increased costs related to the pandemic such as payroll for staff, purchasing needed supplies, telemedicine technology costs and paying rent.”
The billion-dollar abortion industry does not need the money, and women do not need abortions. But the celebrities tried to make their cause appear necessary.
Winstead, who has aborted several unborn babies herself, “thanked God” for abortion providers and claimed their work “saves lives.”
“As someone who has had abortions, I know that they allowed me to create a life for myself that allowed me to survive and thrive,” she told the Hollywood Reporter. “Thank God for those who provide this care; it saves lives, and I will not sit back and let those who provide abortions and those who need them be alone in this fight. They need all our support. And to those of you compelled to weigh in on the health-care decisions of strangers, literally — no one asked you.”
Joining her and Banks will be W. Kamau Bell, Nikki Glaser, Jenny Slate, Sandra Bernhard, Margaret Cho, Amanda Palmer of the Dresden Dolls, Kristin Hersh, Alysia Reiner (Orange Is the New Black, Better Things), Donna Lynne Champlin (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend), Ambrosia Parsley, Beth Stelling (Stand Up), Dana Gould, Josh Gondelman, Samantha Irby, Shannon Woodward, Greg Proops (Whose Line Is It Anyway?), Jessica Kirson (Stand Up), Krystyna Hutchinson, Lea DeLaria (Orange Is the New Black), Lori Alan (SpongeBob SquarePants, Family Guy), Lindy West and DJ Samantha Ronson.
Banks and Winstead have been involved in abortion activism for years. Their influence and money could be used to do so much good, but instead they choose to use it to promote the killing of unborn babies in abortions.
