Police sign up to enforce the laws on the books.

There are many unfair and unjust laws.

Police still sign on to enforce these laws whether they are good or bad.

Therefore, there cannot be any good cops because they are voluntarily enforcing laws they know are wrong.

If there are so many good cops, why do they close ranks to protect their own nearly every time one of their number does something unlawful?

All the police need to do is start following the same rules every other human does, and eliminating the lawbreakers within their ranks. That would go a LONG way in re-establishing the public’s trust.

Cop-bashing? No, I am telling the hard unfortunate truth. Try to refute anything I said above.

What “law” are the police enforcing by raiding allegedly non compliant businesses and running sting operations on hair dressers and nail salons and closing beaches and trails and generally just imprisoning people in their homes on the very tenuous theory that this is actually going to save people’s lives?

The police are generally pretty lax in enforcing speed laws and jaywalking laws and 30,000 people are killed every year in their cars not to mention the hundreds of thousands of people who are crippled or maimed.

No matter what precautions are taken, you are going to be exposed to this virus. If not today, then tomorrow or next month or two months from now.

This lockdown was meant to “slow the spread” so that the hospitals could be equipped to deal with the critically ill. Well, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.

Time to free up the economy before we have 100,000 suicides or drug overdoses (which will be counted by the bean counters as COVID 19 deaths just to keep the fear alive.
