A small plane caused a stir Thursday morning when it landed on a highway near Quebec City.
Motorists who were driving on Highway 40 near the municipality of St-Augustin-de-Desmaures alerted the police around 10:40 a.m.
Sgt. Helene Nepton of the provincial police said the aircraft landed without incident, and nobody on the plane or on the highway was injured.

The Piper PA-28 Cherokee is a nice single engine plane..
But the ultra-fast Piper Aerostar twin is rather dangerous on landings..whew.
The plane in the recent movie “American Made” which was flown by Tom Cruz in the film, crashed with a member of the crew flying left-seat... it was an old 601 they passed off as the faster 700.
It’s a bit of an odd plane as the only cabin door is the pilots door...everyone piles in through there. Makes for a very sturdy fuselage though.

I wonder what stall speed is for that plane. The cars were not going very fast.
I believe it is about 85mph, maybe a tad lower.
The Aerostar does not have a stall warning buzzer since the wings shudder is incredible...the shaking is the stall buzzer...in the film Cruz almost stalls the plane and you can hear a buzzer but it must have been added in post.

Just pointed out the error in the Story. I’m sure nobody noticed. It’s like looking at a Democrat and not realizing you’re really looking at a Communist.
