Ten minutes into "Hamilton" you forget the race and ethnicity of the cast because the play doesn't dwell on them. Somehow I don't think the same will be true of this...revival.

I have seen the movie several times and I saw the show live in St. Louis years ago and enjoyed both. I like how they pick actors who resemble the historical figures. The final scene, with the actors posed to reenact the signing of the Declaration, is very moving.

This new one is a freak show for freaks. I hope the freak audience is very small and the producers lose big money. To hell with people who have to twist everything, even the great moments of history, to conform to their wretchedness and their rotted minds and souls,.

William Daniels, who played John Adams in the movie - and on Broadway - is still alive at 93 (as is his St. Elsewhere co-star Norman Lloyd at 105). Ken Howard (Thomas Jefferson) is gone. Howard Da Silva (Benjamin Franklin), long gone.

The new casting is a gimmick to fill the seats (which won't be filled so long as we are on lockdown). They overdid it, though. People who might go see the play with an all female cast will be turned off or lost by all the transgender stuff.
