More people are discussing herd immunity as an end game...apparently U.K. wanted to try it but then a modeler told them their hospitals would be over run. The overrunning of hospitals has not been happening there (or here) so they may be taking a second look at it. It’s simple - open up the country but the old and those with serious heart, lung and diabetic conditions should voluntarily social distance.
The factors that makes herd immunity a good concept for this virus - it’s not that lethal (just the flu, bro) and it spreads quickly. This means the social distancing for the vulnerable will be short and we can all get back to normal activities.

This will not end until herd immunity is reached...period. The longer this drags out the more we are putting all 330 million of us at risk for something way worse than CV-19. Trump acknowledged it yesterday and signaled that this shits gonna end soon. “The cure can’t be worse than the disease”.

Wild guesses are the only thing available right now.
A new disease with no historical data and no proven vaccine means you can GUESS and that is all you can do.
Not formally giving kids needles - but they should definitely not have restrictions, such as no school. Kids aren’t really affected by Corona.

That's 0.5% of the population. You'll need to get to 70% to 80% for herd immunity. The percent needed varies on how infectious a disease is.
Meanwhile, HCQ is showing great promise.
I read that HCQ works because it's a zinc ionifier, which allows zinc to be absorbed by cells. The zinc then interferes with the viral replication.
"IF" that is how it works, the OTC supplement Quercetin is also a zinc ionifier. So I theorize that zinc and quercetin supplements together may provide some protection.
It looks like there has been a run on zinc supplements, and I had a little trouble finding quercetin as well. I found both this morning and placed an order.
What I think makes sense:
Ask for a pic of their Credentials.
It's something the politicians and bureaucrats can't screw up.
Doctors I know have told me there are studies demonstrating how little ER doctors know - they know how to keep you alive for that day....but the optimal treatments and other medical insights are lacking.

I think once people are emerging from their homes, there will be dead bodies left behind. Murder, suicide, people unable to get their meds.... or food.
Vaccination is a long time away. I am an antivaxxer. The immunity comes from exposure to Corona, which is benign to most.
