We live only an hour away and have a membership. I’ve only been there once and found it amazing.

You’ll get there, Guen. Take advantage of the economic boom once this is all over.

I know what you mean. I don't have any real desire to travel myself, but I love traveling with my wife and children.
I have a son and a daughter and four grandchildren.
Last summer, we took all the grandchildren and our daughter to Greece and Italy. It was fabulous--because of the children. The National Museum in Athens is fabulous (my third trip through).
The summer before that, we took all the children to London and Paris. Fabulous also! The British Museum is one of my favourites. I particularly love the Elgin Marbles.
Such trips exhaust my wife and me, but it's so wonderful with the children--and so good for them.
But I well understand your reluctance to venture forth.

I spent Easter Weekend there last year, and joined.
Went to Easter Sunrise service at the Lincoln Memorial. Was surprised that it was packed.

I stay at the Holiday Inn next to the Museum of the Bible. Free parking, great buffet breakfast included, and close to the mall.

I had similar plans that were interrupted. The airlines said that we could reschedule the flights when this is all over at no additional cost.
Do you suppose you might take your children to London at some time in the future? When the austerity is over and the boom is on?
