Nice. I closed a real estate deal recently. I signed at Title company on 27th, buyer signed in another location on the 30th, official date of closing was the 31st.
Picked up check on the 1st, had appointment at bank a block away to open new account and deposit it. Got that done. Now waiting for the cashier’s check to clear. Hey bank, it’s a cashier’s check, c’mon.
My bank takes a full week to clear anything over $5,000, unless it is direct deposited in my account—fwiw.
“Hey bank, its a cashiers check, cmon.”
I have noticed every business, every institution is a little paranoid about money these days.
It’s almost ass if cash flow has dried up for everyone and their all worried about making payroll.
Just went through that for ten days myself.this is after i waited almost a year for the insurance check. the banks take amounted to about $23 in free interest that they got. Cost me thousands for ten days, banks suck.
