Gov. Cuomo unveiled plans Tuesday to reduce the state’s looming $6.1 billion deficit by forcing New York City and other local governments to rein in their Medicaid spending — or pay for it on their own.
Cuomo’s $178.6 billion budget plan also would slash nearly $2 billion in state aid to the city

Too bad he wasted $10 billion dollars of public funding, along with tax breaks in the name of economic development, expensive giveaways that resulted in a series of broken promises and boondoggles...all while lining the pockets of his donors with these phony projects that never went anywhere.

Like his father, he closed a lot of psychiatric centers, and prisons. Now he's letting convicts out on the street while people in New York are told to stay locked indoors. And he won't even afford you the right to protect yourself from home invasion.

The State of New York has always had a deficit when a Cuomo has been in charge. Mario Cuomo left the State in horrendous condition. It would have been worse if Pataki hadn't beaten him.
