The bottom line is that it will be just like you suggest.. an acceptable level of loss. We make calcs like that everyday... freeways, flu, industrial work..... all come with an acceptable level of loss Grow up. Again, you can live in a bubbke... no one is forcing u back to work .. stay home if you want....
No - I personally don’t believe .GOV should pay for people’s salary for a single day, let alone 4 months. That’s not the way the system works.
That said, it’s (AFAIK) exactly what is being proposed.
So why are people going to be suicidal and despondent again? They get 4 months off, all expenses paid by the .GOV.
Heck of a deal. I don’t AGREE with it, but I don’t think people are going to be as despondent and that will have tons of people committing suicide because of it, either.
I was a Trump supporter from the beginning HOWEVER I have to tell you he has surprised even me BEST POTUS EVER!!! I like this man MORE than Reagan entirely different personalities but he is DEFINITELY the right man for the time!!

BTW, the combined total deaths of the Flu+CoronaVirus is still no where NEAR the total deaths to Flu alone in the 2017-2018 flu season (61,000 in the US alone)

Currently, your chances of dying from Covid 19 are about 1 in one million at most. If you are under the age of 65, probably more like 1 in 10 million. You are reacting emotionally rather than applying any reason or rationality.
I pray for President Trump and his lovely family, daily. He has completely and totally won me over and I tell anybody who will listen just how much I respect and appreciate him. It’s plain to see just how deeply he loves this country and the American people.

But Freepers seem to be concerned with “mass suicides” due to job loss. I assume the reason is that people would be despondent over loss of their income.
If the .gov is PAYING that income for 4 months (NOT THAT I AGREE THEY SHOULD), the premise that we’ll have all this total collapse due to people’s ability to cope financially is not supportable.

I agree! In reality, I believe that Senator Ted Cruz would be a far better Supreme Court Justice than president. The man is brilliant and completely understands the Constitution. We really need that in SCOTUS.
