I recommend the question: WWND?

What Would Nancy Do?

Don’t see what the deal is. I changed all my stocks over to $ until this blows over.

Were you get top secret intel briefings from the IC?

“Some freeper dumped 90 percent as soon as there were signs of trouble.”

The only information that my family had was what was going on in Wuhan and how they were sending infected people around the world - that made it obvious to me (and many others) that times were going to get rough - and having a Dow pushing 30k made it an easy decision!

Did they have info about corona from a Presidential briefing? If so, like the flick I am watching Hang’em High.

Oh come on you didn’t have to be a rocket scientist or the head of an intelligence committee to see this coming. I have been following this thing since January and moved from equities to cash. Wish now I had moved everything but I bought a little on the way down thinking there was a bottom to this thing. Now I am pretty much convinced we may go full on 1929 i.e. 48% down. Right now the Dow is about 33% down from the peak. My guess is a lot of folks got out while the getting was good.

He may have been lucky or he may have broken a law from which he is exempted due to his position. There is no legal transgression but a reasonable person would view the circumstance as adverse information. If he were to stand for re-election it would be a legitimate issue, but he won’t.

The halcyon cry of the purest that our political enemies count on!!

I used to be like you. Then I got tired of seeing our opponents commit the most egregious of offenses and skate while our side constantly rewards the two tiered justice system.

And the point here by the way that as sucky as this is, what Burr is accused of doing isn’t illegal. It should be, but it isn’t.

So you see the slight of hand here. Our guys will resign because what they did is sucky, Afterwards, the Dems guilty of this will apologize and show deep remorse but then point out that it isn’t technically illegal. But they will promise (emptily) to do something about it in the future. Meanwhile, they will laugh at the GOP for once again being suckers,

Bob Menedez going to an island to sleep with minors? Same guy accepting bribes and being indicted? Still going strong in the Senate!!

Hillary, Brenan and Comey spying on Americans and fabricating evidence with foreign aid? Cool.

Flynn, Burr and others? Resign!! Jail!!!

Eff it, my purist days are OVER. Burr is a turd but he is ours and he ain’t going nowhere as long as a dem takes his place. We can get him or try in a primary.

Doesn’t Tuck know? Senators have set “rules” that make themselves exempt from the laws that would land us commoners in federal prison.

But it should be shown about ANY in the INTEL know about this situation-— not just Burr. How about Pelosi and Schumer. Not to mention Burrs best buddy and him “running Russia-Russia”against Trump from Senate Intel. The vile Senator Warner of VA, with is “russian kompromat” crap from the same clowns who faked out Schiff in phone recordings, and willful misdirection of classified intel on the Dossier, and much else. Burr has a lot to answer for. Only problem is— he’s not up for re-election and unless he waits until NC gets a solid republican Gov— the current one will appoint a really lib for ever replacement. Just saying.

Burr should pay it all back, mea culpa and start singing about Warner’s criminal actions-— that’ll keep his seat.

Remember— Burr is one of the Intel Gang of Eight. He, and the other 7— Warner, McConnell, Schumer, Pelosi, McCarthy, Schiff and Nunes.... ARE PRIVY to the security cleared Intel that informs them all the same— at the same level.

With the exception of Mccarthy Nunes and McConnell-— Burr was an embarrassment of stupidity. Grassley on Judiciary having more real guts than the wishy washy Graham. Different committee.

So 4 republicans and no democrats dumped stock just before the great pandemic crash. If this holds and no democrats are found to have done the same. It could be a game changer for the gopE.

Never forget the still allow Initial Public Offering on stock, extended to Congress people at pre-market launch prices-— it is pure bribery to get approval of the stock offering from the financial side— to grease the skids.

They are offered a bloc at way below release price, stock is introduced, goes through the roof (like tech stocks do), which is when the companies have already tipped the congress people to top of the curve. They then sell at peak take the huge margin, and then the stock levels back down to a little above the intro price. Has happened quite a bit.

With respect, speak for yourself. He’s not mine. I don’t have an obligation to anyone just because he happens to be Republican.

Never happen. This guy is so corrupt it only stands to reason he has a lot of stuff on many other high muckity mucks. Be nice to get him out of his chairman position to open up that slot for someone else. Few others are as corrupt as him. Anyone else would be 1000% improvement.

He made his original stake with a $1,000 bet on cattle futures and netted $100,000 from that. Then it was an easy ride with tips from his “brokers” to get that to $1.7M.

See my post on the Congress IPO offers, a little earlier this thread. It goes way back to House Speaker Foley and before.

Then in re to In-Q-Tel the seee eyyyye ehhhh’s govt.sponsored techie companies (like facebook, a DOD DarpaLog project, or any number in the In-Q-Tel- look it up, history). In-Q-Tel includes biotechnology companies, and even some spooky biowarfare tech (dare one say how that might have partnered with our Chi-com enemies? And then say they were “spying on them”) Burr was privy to ALL of this tech sector for investment.... and divestment. This is not right—but it is how they make major govt. sponsored bucks.

The In-Q-Tel invention included the stipend for Bezo’s Amazon, and the “cloud computing” contract for same agency, and a payoff to him of 600 million to enable purchase of the WaPo.BezosPo. Bezos is certainly no business genius— he is a front man for you know who and his paper a mouthpiece they had to preserve.

The creation of In-Q-Tel was from one of Brennan’s proteges, a female undergraduate from Duke in zoology (can you say proto-drone-robot technology). She was being weaseled into the position that Trump removed Dan Coats from - the Dir. of National Intelligence. Trump kicked her out—for the obvious reason she would be “running the coup” continuing at the behest of Brennan. He put in- instead Adm Maguire, as acting.... and now the Ambassador to Germany he brought in again as acting. Ambassador Grenell.
