I see no substantiation for that conspiracy hypothesis, although it makes sense that China would attack the economy in working to prevent the reelection of PDJT, while strengthening our dependence upon China who can recover more quickly.

I go for number 2. I think Trump and other countries leaders have been given evidence that it's a Chinese bio-weapon. Everyone is on board with implementing drastic measures to mitigate it. Other countries are wrecking their economies and they don't have an election featuring Trump.
