Another liberal with panic.
Oh oops.
Maybe we should listen to Newt.
Bars. Restaurants. Public events. Shut it down now.
Naw. He is just part of the conspiracy to bring down Trump. //s
That seems to be well underway. New York, Ohio, Puerto Rico, etc. Plus, in past few days, Trump seems to agree with staying home, etc. No one in administration, beginning with Trump, is criticizing these moves. Their silence says something.
Imagine four months from now, and 80% of the restaurants, businesses,
and even sources of necessities are shuttered for good. And most
people work in these places.
Somehow we got through SARS without this.
We are doing the viruses job for it, destroying civilization.
Obama called SARS the flu.
We didn't bat an eyelash. We worked through it, and we can
barely even remember it.
LOOK AT WHAT WE ARE DOING TO OURSELVES!
This is nonsense...
We will either lean to work through this, or we will wind up with
nothing.
It is acting, Newt. And it acted decisively ahead of Italy. Trump barred the entry of travelers who had been in China recently or who had come directly from China. He did this while Italy was allowing THOUSANDS of Chinese to fly into Italy directly from the Wuhan area to man sweatshops in Italy.
Sometimes the chickens come home to roost.
"President Donald Trump was right to cut off travel from China as soon as it was clear how big the pandemic was going to be. He saved American lives and bought time for America to be more prepared as the pandemic developed."
"By the same standard, Trump was exactly right to ban travel from Europe. In fact, he was following the advice of his best medical experts."
It's catastrophic to "lose" our homeless population? I'm not trying to be mean, but...
This could get quite odorous if the bodies start stacking up
Hey newt. Shut up!
We got it under control, Newt. But thanks just the same.
It only appears to take a several week period of shutdown to flatten out the rate at which this thing spreads, and thereby prevent the medical system from being overwhelmed.
I know, who would keep our streets fertilized if they were suddenly gone?
There were only 8,000 cases of SARS worldwide, and 8 confirmed (27 suspected) in the US. Surely you can see the difference compared to what is happening now? We are at 162,687 cases worldwide, and 3,244 in the US, and are only 3 months into this.
If that's the case, then fine. The longer the need for our society
to stop functioning, the more it's going to cost us long term.
“Several weeks” will be all it takes for many companies to go bankrupt.
That was more on this scale, took place under Obama, and no one
batted an eyelash.
Anyone who didn’t take it seriously can hardly be blamed with the media being hysterical and the democrats trying to blame Trump from day 1.
“It’s catastrophic to “lose” our homeless population? I’m not trying to be mean, but...”
What are you trying to be?
