There was a pilot effort along the border at a detention center in which the DNA of child and person traveling with them (e.g., “father” and daughter). The illegals were held awaiting result of DNA to prove he’s the parent. Yes, I do believe that the pilot went well proving that child traffickers were often posting as fathers etc. so I believe illegals are the primary target but will also help all other issues if we can find DNA at the scene of a crime committed by an illegal.
I’m thinking it would be an excellent tool to help crack down on illegal entry/stays.
