What it's REALLY like to catch coronavirus: First British victim, 25, describes how 'worst disease he ever had' left him sweating, shivering, and struggling to breath as his eyes burned and bones ached [Cat infected, died.]
The Daily Mail ^ | March 4, 2020 | CONNOR REED

Connor Reed, a 25-year-old expat from Llandudno in North Wales, has worked in a school in Wuhan, China, for almost a year. In November he became the first British man to catch the coronavirus...Day 9: Even the kitten hanging around my apartment seems to be feeling under the weather. It isn’t its usual lively self, and when I put down food it doesn’t want to eat...Day 11: Suddenly, I’m feeling better, physically at least. The flu has lifted. But the poor kitten has died. I don’t know whether it had what I’ve got, or whether cats can even get human flu.

A whole article is posted about that right here. It’s quite the long, emotional, rhetorical argument against believing that animals can get the particular strain.

Used up all 9 lives.

Used them up fast, too, just like I do when I try to play video games.

Yeah I would be Playing double with my brother. He would last so much longer in the video game while all my character lives ran out.

I excel at driving games and shooting games.

He said he didn’t want to take the antibiotic. He never says if he broke down and took it. I didn’t see anyway. Might have recovered faster. Why go to the hospital at all if you’re not going to take the anti-biotic? A virus will play its course, but secondary infections should be treated rather than risking death.

Coronavirus patient on Laura tonight and said his case was not all that bad. Kind of like a cold.

I've read that there are two strains of this virus and the one on with Laura had the milder version and the man in Wuhan had the other, the one much more dangerous. A real crap shoot as to which one you may come down with.

You and me both. I called my Doctor, told him my symptoms, he gave me the King County Corona Virus emergency line. I sat on hold 1 hour, then they asked me a battery of questions, then told me that I am to stay at home, and not get tested. The criteria for testing, at present, is that you have to have either visited Life Center, or been within 6 feet of a known infection. I was within 20 feet of a known infection, so I did not qualify. (I was in the critical care unit at Valley, and they were working on a victim 2 doors from the person I was visiting).

From what I have heard, you die of severe pneumonia. Your lungs generate fluid faster than they can get rid of it.

Very interesting, since he says his symptoms started Nov. 25 and WHO says the first patient identified with it was Dec. 8th, a full two weeks later.

What kinds of symptoms? I’ve had something like a mild cold with slightly sore throat, sore airways, cough and slight headache but nothing severe.
