I think this conclusion is not correct.

I think the dems KNOW they are NOT going to win against trump. So, this election is not about winning.

It is about managing the loss. And making sure that the Dem establishment and machine stay in power.

I think that if you were correct, the Dems would have disallowed Berny. He’s not even in their party. A woman minority candidate could have energized down-ticket. This, however, is not the approach taken.

Your theory, which would be how I would approach 2020 as a Dem (yuck!), presumes that HRC no longer has power. I think she likely, still does. The DNC is working frantically behind the curtain, and it’s not for Sleepy Joe.

Yep. Uniparty doesn't care so much about which side is in control. Even the "out of control" party is allowed to participate in the graft. Everybody who plays along is well rewarded, as well as protected from legal jeopardy. The real control lies with unelected forces. The elected people are well-paid puppets of the administrative and lobby state.

If that general order is disturbed, the people in the existing order stand to lose. Trillions are at stake.

Exactly right! They are managing the loss to keep the deep state apparatus in place — financially. Got to pay off the consulting class and their vendors.

That is why Bloomberg is doing his silly song and dance. It is more about people getting paid! Kinda like money laundering...

Agree, they know none of these candidates will beat Trump. If anything, they want an OLD WHITE GUY to FAIL...so they can put a dagger in running one next time.

Hillary isn’t running for a reason, she’s lost any luster and would just lose worse than last time - so I’d say “no way” will she be the VP candidate. It’d just energize the same folks to get out and vote Trump again, probably by a wider margin.

The plan is to salvage the down ticket seats. The demon rats know they are going to lose the presidential slot, sothey are rejecting the extremes, like Commie Sanders and hom Buttjudge, placing a soft candidate with demon rat likeability in the losing spot so the turnout is not suppressed. THAT is the demon rat strategy.
