Coronavirus Is A Huge Gift To The Future Of This Nation

The Coronavirus presents itself as a health challenge as well as an economic challenge to present day America. Certainly, preventing the wide scale spread of this virus is a top priority to our health agencies as well as government. Addressing the effect on the nation's economy that this virus has already had as well as the actual shortages of vital medical supplies which originate in China as well as other economic supply chain issues are also hurdle's to cross. One would think that companies currently having manufacturing done in China would love to have another location present itself to them which would be a safer bet to do business in. Many will be jumping at the chance to relocate after this calms down. Where will they go?

I would like to suggest that the United States and Mexico create a joint effort in forming an economic development zone along the US-Mexican border. This zone would be financed through a public and private investment fund giving those who might have lost money in the market slide a chance to reap the economic benefits of profits generated by the sale of products produced in the zone. Being along the border, this zone would have a $7.00 per hour minimum wage law and would be able to attract workers who are agreeable to the wages offered. Most of the low wage earners would be Mexicans who would much rather an opportunity to earn a living closer to their home country than having to locate further inland within the United States.

This would certainly attract many of those who are currently much further inland from the border back to the border area itself. As the areas further from the border lose Mexican laborers, the jobs they leave behind would then be available for Americans who are willing to take them.

In addition to helping ensure that vital products are safely being manufactured closer to home, other manufacturers across America would benefit from the new Mexican middle class growing itself along the border as a new customer base for their products. Everybody wins. Coronavirus has set China up to be the biggest loser and the United States as the biggest winner of it's effects.

Applying the economic development zone could also successfully be applied to the inner cities of this nation and could possibly, by doing so, permanently destroy the ability of democrats ability to deceive blacks into voting for them. Public/Private joint effort economic development zones. One, along the border, brings thousands of manufacturing jobs back to America, and saves companies from the shipping cost of crossing the Pacific, then sets them up with multiple rail and interstate access to the American markets. The other, located in the inner cities, helps rebuild those cities as well as gives the locals an avenue of developing self worth, dignity, and pride in themselves rather than simply being cattle expected to pull the voting lever for Democrats every two years.

Problems solved,

1. Vital product availability.

2. Economic supply-chain issues addressed

3. Safe 401K investment opportunity.

4. Mitigation of illegal immigration affect on majority of nation as they migrate themselves back to the border to take advantage of the jobs being created.

5. Middle class being grown in upper Mexico is a new customer base for other US products.

6. Inner cities revitalized.

7. Blacks get their dignity and pride put back in their hands as jobs rather than handouts.

8. Democrat party forever eliminated as a viable political force.

Yes, Coronavirus has presented itself as a problem. It is also an opportunity to create an answer to this problem that can fix so much more. If anyone can properly design this solution, it is Donald Trump. C'mon, Donald, let's roll.

Public/Private economic development zones offer an incredible opportunity to fix lots of things for the future of this country and it's citizens.

Crisis = opportunity. Raise the ante. Staff the employment with illegal aliens in our jails.

It’s gotta be on the other side of the border. Inlanders won’t leave. Not for $7/hr. Put it on Mexico’s southern border.

"Good ideas, Bernie."

This would be a Public/Private investment opportunity of enormous proportions as far as return on investment is concerned. Imagine the taxes generated by this. It would pay for itself. That's anything BUT Bernie.

That is certainly the silver lining. Businesses, frankly, have gotten pretty indolent in relying on China so heavily as a market and for supply chains. Single points of failures are never good and we’re learning that painful but obvious lesson now.

If American companies wake up and go more onshore or to closer neighbors to diversify the supply chain, this could be an amazing rebound to the detriment of China, our biggest enemy on the world stage, irrespective of all the kissy-face niceties we show each other.

It will accelerate the decoupling of the US from China which is undeniably a good thing.

"It’s gotta be on the other side of the border."

That's why I suggest this as a joint effort between the United States and Mexico. Build it and they will come. I am sure, for various reasons, some will prefer one side of the border over the other. Let the investors and manufacturers decide. It'll work either way.

Yep, shows the risk of making yourself dependent on an unhygenic, lying dump.

If public education isn't addressed, none of this matters. We raised a crop of youth that CANNOT REASON, and that is our future.

There is nothing trending that is going to change that, and the demographic change is a time bomb.

Pax Americana ends after DJT leaves office.

My concern is that just might turn Texas blue. Unless we can get them to move to the other side of the border.

Since the cost of living would be much cheaper on the Mexican side of the border, I would bet that the vast majority of those returning to it would live in Mexico, their home. In addition, if this public/private enterprise zone concept were ever expanded into the inner cities, the gain in the black vote would offset this to a large degree.

I share your overall attitude. We need to seize the opportunity, meet the challenges, correct errors, move forward. Not cower!

While that may be true, the narco terrorism is operating heavily along Mexico’s side of the border. So lower costs may not be the powerful incentive you think it is.

Unfortunately, illegal aliens are now so intertwined with our economy that they simply cannot be deported because they are working at every level and they are also consumers supporting both local economies and the macroscopic economy as well.

The numbers are astronomical - we are dealing with tens of millions of illegals and their children residing within the US borders. If we were able to deport all of them we would lose more than 10% of our population

What we can do and need yo do is deport the undesirable and criminal illegals and get illegal and legal immigrants off government welfare
programs

According to the Eric Holder DOJ, around 20% of the illegals are serious, hard core criminals and quite a few more percentage points are just undesirables who commit misdemeanors or drive drunk

They need to go ASAP and the welfare fraudsters will self deport once they need to get a job and support themselves.

In places like San Jose there are illegal alien single mother anchor baby households that have been riding the California welfare system since before the anchor baby was born when the pregnant mothers came into the country illegally and got enrolled in free housing so they could receive free prenatal care and free labor and delivery care of the California and US taxpayer.

A lot of these anchor babies are in their thirties and they grew up on welfare all their lives and they seasoned pros at gaming the government benefits system and they are trained on how to milk the system with the help and coaching of the taxpayer funded social workers who run the system.

I think many would support this idea with more than just votes. It would be an incredible investment opportunity!
