I didn’t say the pilot was drunk. He was negligent. There is no doubt about it. His company was not licensed to fly in those conditions using visual site. There is technicality involved in what he was allowed and not allowed to do....but it is clear negligence.
And the company will have to pay.
I suspect a good portion will go to the charity she has set up..but even if it doesn’t..she is entitled to it.
And people should stop shaming her.
“All of you people trying to shame Vanessa Bryant should go to bed tonight and think about what it would be like if a drunken drugged up irresponsible jerk killed your whole family in a car tomorrow.”
You not only implied the pilot was drunk, you implied he was high on drugs too. I don’t care how you spin the above statement of yours. That’s exactly what you implied.
I think it’s a shame for her to sue anyone. They go to church. Christians are held to a higher standard. The world, like you sues. The world, like is angry and bitter and full of hate. The Christian grieves for their own losses and the losses of others and they forgive.
“He was negligent.”
How do we know that is a fact? We don’t know until the NTSB report is issued.
Sad to see, not you, on this website too much emotion over an incident that remains under investigation, an investigation to determine what exactly happened and why.
and
“is company was not licensed to fly in those conditions using visual site”
Flying under VFR conditions requires no special clearances, unless it is something like VFR on top.
I will wait for the report and look forward to reviewing his tickets and currency.
