Sometimes what happens in Vegas needs to be shared with the ones we love.
Some of you may remember that my wife passed away in June of 2009. Since then, life has continued and blessed me with finding love again. After being together for almost ten years now, Jean and I were married in Las Vegas on the 20th of February. I am such a lucky man and honored to have such a wonderful woman as my best friend and wife. To other widowers out there in FR...don't ever stop looking for a companion and friend to be with. You never know what karma has in store for you.
Little did we know when we made our travel plans was that the Nevada Caucus was also happening that same week...
We stayed at the Cosmopolitan, corner terrace room with an outstanding view overlooking the Bellagio Fountain from the 53rd floor.
Despite being a thousand feet in the air, we were able to monitor the snowflake protest at the Paris Casino and Hotel. We also saw Tingles Chrissy Matthews doing one of his DNCMSNBC propaganda shows. The one time we strolled by his venue to shout "fake new" at him...he was gone.
I saw one Warren person t-shirt and only two Biden t-shirt people...didn't seem like there was much open support for any DemoSocialists...
I was able to give one of the Biden-bots a big "L" for loser hand signal as he sashayed by us...
Food was awesome. Instead of one big entree, we opted for multiple appetizers so we could share and taste more styles of meals.
The Palm at Caesers was awesome...lobster bisque done right. Mon Ami Gabi did their French offerings justice as well.
Just remember, everything is expensive as F!
We saw a couple of shows. Criss Angel Magic was horrible, we left after three really lame tricks.
Cirque du Soleil, Michael Jackson "ONE" was very cool, great acrobatics and music and the special effects were very imaginative for an 'en front' stage presentation vs. an in the round style venue.
Much love to all our FR community from GRRRRR and Jean (AlpacaGal)
Congratulations to you both. 8>)
Rats! I forgot the best part!!
Friday night after dinner, during the walk back to the Cosmo...
There were about 75 or so pickup trucks and cars all sporting USA flags and TRUMP2020 flags parading up and down the Strip! Horns honking and USA chants from the folks on the street. Overwhelming cheers and yee hahs!!
That’s 30!
Best wishes to you both!
“There were about 75 or so pickup trucks and cars...”
You got married and THAT was the best part?
Best wishes to both of you.
FR is “G” rated!!
In my case, uh, that stays right there. It is a fun place. Sounds like you had a hoot! Congratulations!
