Figured we would start numbering the threads.
Some points to keep in mind:
1. This thing is not “just the flu.” 2. 1/10th of the worlds population is in some sort of lockdown. 3. Generally, we don’t buy the Chinese numbers But if anything they are low. 4. Everyone is welcome to post, but don’t bore us with your “you are panicking” posts. They are tedious.

For those of you that don’t know the cdc has only tested 441 people .. they want to test more but many kits are defective .. yet somehow other countries can test 1000’s a day
Hawaii hasn’t even tested anyone despite the fact that Two Chinese tourists that tested positive roamed the island .. people there are pissed and want to import test kits from japan

Thanks! If you missed the recent news - a potential case from Italy in Romania, 3rd death is an oncologist in Italy, US military is on lockdown in S. Korea, but no way to test, border shut between Austria and Italy and a bunch of other stuff. Previous thread:

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
If a quarantine saves just one child's life, it's worth it.

Spread of #coronavirus in South Korea appears to be becoming epidemic. Another grim turn in sinister virus. South Korea reports today 169 new cases for a total of 602 and 2 more have died for a total of 5 fatalities. ****They have tested +26,000 so far and have 8,000 tests pending****

Focus has turned to the very challenging situation in South Korea, Iran, Italy; but Japan remains a very big concern. They may have wider outbreak than is currently apparent, and have many travel connections globally. Currently, Japan has 132 total cases, almost 100 are domestic

Obviously Commercial and Military Air Travel is not going to be halted, thus the governments have a vested financial interest in not stopping the spread of this virus. People will just have to die in order that air travel continue, and the profits of the airlines continue so they can pay for the planes they buy and have on order.
Stop all flights out of Japan , South Korea. Italy and Iran
