From felony to misdemeanor: Bill would ease penalty in Washington [state] for exposing a partner to HIV
Seattle Times ^ | 02/22/2020

The state Department of Health has proposed legislation that would make such exposure a misdemeanor, asserting the state’s HIV laws aren’t reflective of current treatments and perpetuate a stigma against people living with the virus.

The proposal also calls for more intervention from local and state health officers, allowing them to recommend options ranging from testing to counseling, and even mandate treatment for an individual determined to be placing others at risk.

Sen. Ann Rivers, R-La Center and a member of the committee, said she supports efforts to de-stigmatize HIV but said reducing the penalty for intentional transmission diminishes the significance of the impact on a person who is infected, even with the advancements in HIV treatment.

“The reality is, if I have to take medicine every day — and maybe my insurance will pay for it, maybe it won’t — I think we need to send the message that you can’t just willy-nilly go around spreading this disease,” Rivers said. “There has to be a consequence.”

Why change? HIV should be quarantined, not integrated, excused, and shared.

Well, hell, why not give out merit badges for exposing a sex partner to HIV? Maybe tax credits also!

It is time we bow down - and have our children bow down - before our homosexual media overlords at NPR (where you now need a lisp to get a job,) and the other networks. Of all the things we must do as a nation, decriminalizing purposeful AIDS transmission is foremost in their minds. Don't ask why... Just bow down.

So, they're reducing the penalty for knowingly engaging in activity they claim can't pass along HIV. But are they certain of this? Hell, in California (as of 2017), they reduced charges for a person with HIV who knowingly donates blood, tissue, semen or breast milk from a felony to a misdemeanor. Knowingly. Damn.

They need life sentences for the one who knowingly spreads the HIV virus. Maybe slightly less for the one who UNKNOWINGLY spreads it.

This grim new and stupic law earns multiple Darwin Awards -

The Darwin Awards are a tongue-in-cheek honor, originating in Usenet newsgroup discussions around 1985. They recognize individuals who have supposedly contributed to human evolution by selecting themselves out of the gene pool via death or sterilization by their own actions.

Liberals In a couple of decades, if left alone to their life styles, will have destroyed themselves via their abortions, drug use age, homo sexual life styles, both DNA wise and soul wise due to their stupid and terminal life choices.

The Democratic Party is rapidily morphing into the DCP/DonnerCrat Party on a daily basis.

Here we have another: Darwin Award Winner!

Only a faq would even think to waste legislative time to worry over this and promote it. Who the heck cares if a person who purposely hides his ability to kill someone with sex, is jailed for 1 month or years? I would bet that purposely giving someone Herpes is still a felony.

To put this in a proper and somewhat obscene perspective consider the following. If one sticks a weapon in a partners orifice and pulls the trigger he is a murderer. If one sticks a penis in said same orifice loaded with HIV and the victim dies from such or is ill the rest of his or her life it is “just a misdemeanor”?

This is politically correct legal insanity.
