Yesterday we stopped while the public school bus let off two small children. The bus turned of the flashing lights but I could see the driver watching the children until they go in their home. Kudos to the driver.
I live in a very rural area. However, there are child porn makers in a town twenty miles away. School bus drivers commonly wait until smaller children have moved part way up driveways before moving on.
I and others once watched in horror as a school bus driver ran over a dog.
There was no way he could have missed seeing the dog. It was half a block in front of him. He never slowed down. I can only surmise he believed the dog would run out of the way but didn't. The yelp was chilling.
As for this young girl, this is a horrible end. I hope the parents can find peace.
