The way I see it, we’ve got to take that as Chinese policy face-value and act accordingly. At any given time stuff like this arises there, it’s got to be treated as potentially a “plausible deniability” event. Recall in that speech excerpt that they are comfortable with an event/conflict in which they lose essentially 2 whole North America’s worth of people.

It’s conceivable that, utilizing a horrible outbreak in their country they could release something like this and then chalk it up to “leakers” press wise while it gets going in western countries. If not this virus, maybe the next...
