The sheriff tells us they ran from their adoptive home and allegedly told another child in the home they were going to New York.

Reminds me of that old country song about the Trustee Jailbird and the bloodhound he trained. Wish I could remember the name of it . . . but I will bet they are headed in exactly the opposite direction.
