LOS ANGELES - According to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner, through the use of DNA and fingerprints, has identified all nine of the victims who died in a helicopter crash on Sunday involving Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna, announced on Wednesday evening.

The department released the IDs of four crash victims.

They included:

John Altobelli, DOB: 5/8/63

Kobe Bryant, DOB: 8/23/78

Sarah Chester, DOB: 6/29/74

Ara Zobayan, DOB: 1/2/70

The IDs of the three men and one woman were determined through fingerprints.

Following round-the-clock testing and analysis of DNA, the department officially identified the five other occupants in the helicopter crash and notified their legal next of kin.

They are:

Gianna Bryant, DOB: 5/1/06

Payton Chester, DOB: 7/13/06

Alyssa Altobelli, DOB: 6/16/05

Keri Altobelli, DOB: 7/23/73

Christina Mauser, DOB: 6/26/81

Also, on Tuesday body examinations were performed on all nine victims.

Their causes of death were certified as blunt trauma.

The manner of death was certified as accident.

Families should be able to claim bodies and take them to mortuaries...They will have to decide whether to bury their loved ones or cremate them...

Speaking of mortuaries...Last year, I spoke with a gentleman who worked in a mortuary. He prepared bodies for burial. He had a California state license for that job. He did tell me about one time a saleman, at his mortuary, sold a casket with a huge markup. It was sold to a grieving family...

I think the bodies of Kobe and Gianna will be moved to a mortuary in the middle of night. A TV station showed a truck, carrying remains of the helicopter, traveling on 134 freeway. Does Kobe's family want TV coverage of Kobe's body being transported? Maybe not...

Coroner's office, near Downtown LA, has all the bodies.

Again, I really feel sorry for the families... It is one thing if a person collapses at home and then dies...I think that getting killed out in the middle of nowhere is worse...DNA testing was needed for some of the bodies...Very sad indeed...

It is heartbreaking to see how much family was lost in 1 accident. Look at the names and ages. These families are morning multiple loses. My heart hurts just imagining their sorrow. May God bring his A game for these. Lord knows that for them, this is when and where prayers matter the most.

Every casket is sold to a grieving family at a high markup. It's how mortuaries make most of their money. Mortuaries are struggling these days, though, because so many more people are choosing cremation.

It would appear that the common denominator was the three young girls. Perhaps started off as a fun thing to go for a ride on a helicopter for the girls. Parents wanting to give their kids fun experiences and making memories together. Sad.

The Altobellis have a son named J.J. who must be close to 30 years old. He played on the Brewster Whitecaps in the prestigious Cape Cod league in the summer of 2011 while his dad was an assistant coach. (Coach Altobelli went on to manage the Whitecaps for the next three summers or so). I also believe The Altobellis have a daughter who was not on the helicopter.

First question why the hell would anyone fly in a helicopter in the fog when a warning was given.

Probably...

Coach A’s wife and Christina Mauser were not identified using fingerprints...I am guessing that Coroner had to use DNA because their bodies were in a really terrible condition...

About three girls...I don’t think Coroner could have identified them by using fingerprints in any case. They are too young to give fingerprints to DMV for driving license.

That is why I really feel sad about this helicopter crash...I am not a big NBA fan...I am not even a big Kobe fan...But, I still feel sad.
