OK... at the risk of learning something I DON’T want to know... why is this gay?
I wouldn’t dress up as an animal for the same reasons I wouldn’t dress up as a superhero or a monster. Yeah, occasionally I use silly voices (especially since having a kid, but not strictly since then), but I’m not going to say, “Hold it... let me take ten minutes and change into a $100 ($1,000?) costume first!”
Or do you just mean, “lame”? As in, don’t these people have something better to do with their time and money?
At least they helped the victim...so I’m glad...Tampa had a FurCon and downtown was full of animals. Are they hurting anyone? Even Walmart sells animal costumes...

It is a way of declaring your wants and needs without anyone knowing who you are. Similar to anonymous computer role playing or anonymous sex?

There was a student at my son’s college. His Facebook page was a mix of My Little Pony stuff (Brony), some weird asian cartoons, martial arts, knives and guns!?
He was the building monitor when a gunman walked into the school building. (The gunman had shot and killed one kid just outside the building). The gunman entered the building and with his shotgun shot a girl from about 8 to 10 feet into the chest (on youtube video). The girl, stunned, turned and walked away. Thank God it was birdshot - she had some moderate injuries but survived.
At the sound of the shot the Brony came around the corner. Saw the gunman reloading. Ran at the gunman and maced him. Grabbed the gun and went and hid it. Came back and the gunman was getting a knife out. Brony tackled him, punched him and put a hold on him.
I’m guessing most Bronies aren’t like this hero - but I got to stand up for him!
You ain't lived until you've gotten violent and disorderly ... and had some furry creature restrain you until the police arrive.
