Joey Kramer says he was forced to re-audition for his role and was held to made-up standards not in contract
Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer filed a lawsuit against the rest of the band, claiming theyve unfairly excluded him from rejoining the group ahead of their upcoming Grammys performance and the continuation of their Las Vegas residency.
According to the suit, obtained by Rolling Stone, Kramer suffered a few minor injuries last spring that sidelined him just as the band was set to launch their "Deuces Are Wild Las Vegas residency. By the fall, Kramer claims, he was ready to rejoin the group, but the suit alleges he was rebuffed in ways that were inconsistent with the terms laid out in Aerosmiths band contract. The lawsuit comes ahead of Aerosmiths scheduled performance at the 2020 Grammy Awards this Sunday, January 26th, as well as a tribute show in their honor, January 24th, as they accept the MusiCares Person of the Year award.
This is not about money, Kramer said in a statement. I am being deprived of the opportunity to be recognized along with my peers for our collective lifetime contributions to the music industry. Neither the MusiCares Person of the Year Award nor the Grammys Lifetime Achievement honors can ever be repeated.

Well, the difference is ‘Sing, Sing, Sing’ was written as a drum feature. Don’t know if Gene ever went to Alabama. 8~)
I love Sing, Sing, Sing. Krupa was amazing. I hear he got fired for going over time and ignoring Goodman’s direction because of that phenomenal song.
I saw the Beatles live at Dodger Stadium in ‘66. Couldn’t hear anything of course. As soon as the Beatles took the stage the girls started screaming and drowned out everything else.
My buddy was our drummer and he had a few broken sticks in his car. Out in the parking lot, while waiting for traffic and crowds to clear, he pulled one out and started twirling it. A girl asked where he got it and he said “Where do you think?”. I thought she was going to collapse and give birth or something right there! An idea was born. Money changed hands.
I imagine that, somewhere out there, there are half a dozen 70 year old women still treasuring Don’s broken 2B’s.
When the Beatles come on stage,
They scream and shriek and cheer them.
Now I know why they're such a rage,
It's impossibe to hear them.

"The End".
Abbey Road goes down with DSOM, Who's Next and Led Zeppelin IV as the absolute 'gotta-haves' from the 70s rock era.
I know a guy that worked at a major Atlanta concert venue for years. He said Tyler was the biggest “do not look the talent in the eye, I am better than you” douche he ever dealt with.

He said Tyler was the biggest do not look the talent in the eye, I am better than you douche he ever dealt with.
I believe it. I have heard the same from others who have met him.
Yep, The End. He also put in a great performance on “Rain”.
I saw Ringo and Zak play together in a very early All Starr performance.
Lol!
I used to listen to Aerosmith as a teenager in 1976. If anybody back then told me they’d still be around nearly a half century later, I’d have laughed at them.
You should have said, I can tell youre a Steven Tyler fan. You both have really big mouths.
That’s low down, rotten good for nuth... never mind. I should condemn the scam, but I admit, it made me grin broadly! Thanks for the great story. Warmed my heart.
