I often have to work outside in the winter.
A beard helps considerably to keep your head warm.
I used to grow one every winter and shave it in the spring but my daughter and my wife doesn’t like me to shave it so I’ve had one for years.

BTW Jesus had a traditional beard, however he was not an effeminate faggoty looking fellow like portrayed in images of him. He was a rugged mans man as any carpenter would have been at 30 years old. No jerrycurl manscaped metrosexual.

Not that I am an expert on your religion, but I did work as a driver for tour guides in Israel for generally non-Jewish tourists. I went to every relevant site repeatedly and heard many a speech.

The Aramaic word for his profession best translates to “construction worker”, not carpenter. Probably a brick layer or mason, although that is not for certain.

Anyway, this adds to your “tough guy” argument.
