I once saw “The Worlds Biggest Hand Dug Well” in Kansas.
Before the tornado, right there in town, at the corner you turn at to head for The Well, there was the best damn Cajun restaurant in all of Kansas.
Couple of GOM platform hands transferred to Greensburg to work at the pump station. Retired and opened the restaurant.
Don’t know of current status or location but, them coonasses could cook so I’m sure they re-opened somewhere.
